Hello fisherman, I had a super time on the upper Klamath river in Seiad valley fishing the steelhead. Everyone caught fish every day from 1/2#ers to 10#ers. Each day varied as far as the number of fish caught in a day. Some days were more plentiful than others. Thank you to everyone who fished with me, it was a fantastic time!

The conditions on the Smith river remain the same, low and clear with the river being closed from Rowdy creek up. We have received about a 1/4 in. of rain today with more rain forcasted through tommorrow, then another system coming for the weekend. Hello fisherman, sorry for the delay in a report, here is the latest: I fished Charlie Romero on Saturday the 9th, maker of the Plunk-n-dunk balls that we use for drifting. We did not get out on the water until 2pm. We made a short drift. There were alot of leaves in the water, but we did manage to land four nice salmon, all chromers weighing from 25 -30lbs. each. On Sunday the 10th we had to cancel, it rained all night and really dirtied up the water. I don't think there were any boats out. Today was a fantastic day on the Smith. We had 9 fish on and landed 7 of them, they were all chrome bright salmon. We called it a day at 10 am. By the way, there have now been two king salmon weighed in this season out of the Smith river weighing 60 + pounds! I also saw a steelhead caught today weighing 14 - 15 lbs. This is some of the best salmon fishing I have ever seen. Don't miss out! I had a cancelation for November 23 & 24 which is a weekend. We are also taking bookings for steelhead season. Current Report:

Hello fisherman, We fished the lower Klamath over the weekend. On Saturday I had out Alfanso & Lindsey Naranjo, Judy Watts, and Cheryl Schwerdtfeger all of Sacramento. We caught our limit of salmon with the fish weighing from 13- 24lbs. You could not ask for better weather! We had a great time! On Sunday I fished Frank & Jenny Kaneko from the bay area. We also got our limit of salmon and had a wonderful day with the weather being just perfect once again! I do have a major concern though right now with the lower Klamath river. Dept. of Fish & Game and Dept. of Water Recources need to open your eyes! Our fish are dying due to a lack of oxygen and cold water. Water needs to be released from the dam. These fish have not even spawned yet and they are dying!!! Salmon fishing on the Klamath has been getting better every year and now they are killing our fishery, and it looks ugly for everyone. Someone needs to go to jail!!! We will be out on the river again tomorrow.

It was another beautiful day on the Smith River. I fished Frank & Jenny Kaneko of Walnut Creek. It started out with rain early this morning, turning into sunshine for late morning and afternoon. We hooked and landed one fish in the morning, then went for lunch at the Hiouchi Cafe. From there we made our second run. This time we hooked three more fish and landed two. There were other boats hooking fish as well. Thanks Frank & Jenny for a great day on the river!

River level at Jed Smith 8.93

Hello fisherman; To catch you up, yesterday we went fun fishing with some good friends! We had a great day of fishing, hooking nine adult fish and landing nine! It was a beautiful sun shining day, freezing conditions in the morning, but turning into beautiful blue skies for the day! Today I fished Jim Mc Millan of Blythe ,CA. Jim drove 17 hours to fish the Smith River for one day. He hooked seven adult fish and landed five. There were fewer boats on the river today. It looked like most boats were getting good numbers of fish. The conditions are low and clear water, we could use some more rain. The weather calls for clear skies through the weekend, so don't forget your sunglasses!

Don,t forget our package deal; one night at the Hiochi Motel, one breakfast at the Hiouchi Cafe, and one day of fishing on the Smith River @ $360.00 for two people.

Hello fellow fisherman; To catch you up, yesterday I fished Gary and Dick of Chico. Our trip didn't start till 11a.m. We hooked one adult fish and landed it. We hooked a bunch of half pounders, but we don't count those. Today I fished Bill and Steve. We hooked three adult fish and lost them all. That's fishing! It looked like everyone was hooking fish today. The water color was real fine today and the water a little high. But the water level now, in the 10's, is a prime level for fishing and the weather looks good for the weekend.

Don't forget our package deal: one night at the Hiouchi Motel, one breakfast at the Hiouchi Cafe, and one day of fishing on the Smith River for two people @ $360.00. For reservations you can call 707-457-3194 or e-mail.
