Current Report: Hello fisherman, We've been fishing on the Smith river below rowdy creek, as the river is still closed above due to the low water. We did receive four inches of rain in the last four days, but it did not bring the river level up enough to open. There have been some real nice salmon landed below rowdy creek. There's been a 62lber., 58lber., 53lber., etc., quite a few fish in the fifty pound range and down. There are fresh fish coming into the system and we need more rain to open the river. It is going to be a great season on the Smith. Don't wait to late to book your trip! I do apologize for the late report as I am very busy up here on the water ways, I've been on the Klamath in Seiad valley as well as the Smith, and I do not always have the time or access to my computer. We will update again in the next few days. We do have some open days for salmon season and we are also taking bookings for the steelhead run. To book your trip call toll free 866-875-9500 or e-mail.

Current Report: Hello fisherman, The Smith river was about a foot higher this morning than yesterday morning. It got up to 18.71 ft. , but is now on the drop. Today I fished Doug Dawson of Paradise and Charlie Romero, maker of the Plunk-n-dunk balls. We hooked two adult steelhead and landed one. Some of the other guides I talk to today hooked one or two adult fish. The water was high today ,but the forcast looks good. We are going to get a break in the weather, so the conditions will improve daily with a new run of fish coming into the system! If you have not booked your trip it's time! For reservations call toll free 1-866-875-9500 or e-mail.
Keep your rod up, Kim
