Hello fisherman, What a great steelhead season we are having on the Smith river. We recieved some rain in the last week which added some needed color to the river. We are catching our limits of steelhead, as we have been all season. We have some open dates left for March on the Smith. We are also now taking bookings for striper fishing on the Sacramento river for the month of April, and for spring salmon fishing on the lower Klamath river for the months of May & June. Hello fisherman, The Smith river steelhead fishing remains good. The river is low and clear,we could use some rain. We are forcast for rain tonight, we can use the color in the river. Hello fisherman, We are back from Idaho, and currently fishing the Smith river. Conditions are very low, clear, and cold. We are forcast for rain starting tomorrow. Fish are being caught in the piling hole, including some real fresh fish. We should see a mix of salmon and steelhead with the next rain. Hello fisherman, We are now taking bookings for the salmon season and upcoming steelhead season on the Smith river. The river is currently very low, we need some rain to move the salmon that are milling around the lower river. It looks to be a good steelhead season which we should see them showing up in Dec. We are on our way to Idaho for an elk hunt, but we will have our calendar with us and our cell phone, so to book your trip on the Smith you can reach us at 707-954-2409. Hello fisherman, We are back fishing on the Trinity river catching fish. Prior to that we were on the Smith river fishing for salmon and it was spectacular fishing. Hello fisherman, Yesterdays report I forgot to mention the dates for the fall run of chinook salmon and steelhead on the lower Klamath river; this run is August through October. As I mentioned there are currently fish being caught at the mouth as well as a few up river and this run will continue to get better as the season moves forward. The quota for this run is 30,800 fish. The bag limit is two adult fish, one jack, one fin clipped steelhead. Also remember that the Klamath river is the only river in California, outside of the Smith river, that you can keep salmon. We are now taking bookings, don't forget this is fun for the whole family!

Hello fisherman, We are gearing up for the fall run of chinook salmon and steelhead on the lower Klamath river. The quota is 30,800 fish, the bag limit is two adult salmon, one jack, one fin clipped steelhead. There are fish being caught at the mouth, as well as a few up river. The numbers have been 0-10 fish. The fishing will only get better as the season moves forward. The Klamath river is the only river in California to keep a salmon outside of the Smith river, which that season starts in Oct.- Nov. We are booking trips now for the fall run salmon, don't miss out as these days are numbered and are booking quickly. The Klamath river is fun for the whole family, there is alot of action during this run, you cannot ask for better weather at this time, the scenery is awesome as well as the fishing! Hello fisherman, Sorry for the lack of reports, but there was not alot to report on the steelhead season here on the smith river. We did catch fish, but there were not alot of steehead. Thank you to those who did make it to the smith to fish with me. We are now gearing up to fish the sacramento river for stripers. We will start fishing there next week and into May. Next we will head to the Klamath river in June to fish for spring salmon. Then we will gear up for the summer run of salmon on the klamath for August & September.
